Synonyms
evam—yes, this is right;etat—what you have said;mahā-bhāga—O great personality;yathā—as;vadasi—you are speaking;dehinām—about living entities (accepting material bodies);ajñāna-prabhavā—by the influence of ignorance;aham-dhīḥ—this is my interest (false ego);sva-parāiti—this is another’s interest;bhidā—differentiation;yataḥ—because of such a conception of life.
Translation
O great personality Kaṁsa, only by the influence of ignorance does one accept the material body and bodily ego. What you have said about this philosophy is correct. Persons in the bodily concept of life, lacking self-realization, differentiate in terms of “This is mine” and “This belongs to another.”
