श्रीसूत उवाच सम्पृष्टो भगवानेवं द्वैपायनसुतो द्विजा: । अभिनन्द्य हरेर्वीर्यमभ्याचष्टुं प्रचक्रमे ॥ १४ ॥

śrī-sūta uvāca sampṛṣṭo bhagavān evaṁ dvaipāyana-suto dvijāḥ abhinandya harer vīryam abhyācaṣṭuṁ pracakrame

Synonyms

śrī-sūtaḥuvāca—Śrī Sūta Gosvāmī said;sampṛṣṭaḥ—being questioned;bhagavān—Śukadeva Gosvāmī;evam—thus;dvaipāyana-sutaḥ—the son of Vyāsadeva;dvi-jāḥ—Obrāhmaṇasassembled here;abhinandya—congratulating Mahārāja Parīkṣit;hareḥvīryam—the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead;abhyācaṣṭum—to describe;pracakrame—endeavored.

Translation

Śrī Sūta Gosvāmī said: O learned brāhmaṇas assembled here at Naimiṣāraṇya, when Śukadeva Gosvāmī, the son of Dvaipāyana, was thus questioned by the King, he congratulated the King and then endeavored to describe further the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
