दूत उवाच इति मागधसंरुद्धा भवद्दर्शनकाङ्‍‍क्षिण: । प्रपन्ना: पादमूलं ते दीनानां शं विधीयताम् ॥ ३१ ॥

dūta uvāca iti māgadha-saṁruddhā bhavad-darśana-kaṅkṣiṇaḥ prapannāḥ pāda-mūlaṁ te dīnānāṁ śaṁ vidhīyatām

Synonyms

dūtaḥuvāca—the messenger said;iti—thus;māgadha—by Jarāsandha;saṁruddhāḥ—imprisoned;bhavat—of You;darśana—for the sight;kāṅkṣiṇaḥ—anxiously awaiting;prapannāḥ—surrendered;pāda—of the feet;mūlam—to the base;te—Your;dīnānām—to the pitiable;śam—benefit;vidhīyatām—please bestow.

Translation

The messenger continued: This is the message of the kings imprisoned by Jarāsandha, who all hanker for Your audience, having surrendered to Your feet. Please bestow good fortune on these poor souls.
